Roles and responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a skilled and motivated Hardware Design Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in electronics hardware development, preferably in the automotive domain.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in circuit design, PCB development, and testing, with a focus on delivering reliable and cost-effective embedded solutions.
  • Key Responsibilities: Design and development of complex, multi-layer PCBs (minimum 4 layers) for embedded automotive applications.
  • Schematic capture, layout, and simulation using tools such as Altium Designer, KiCAD, DipTrace, or Cadence.
  • Stack-up planning, controlled impedance design, via management, and return path integrity for high-reliability PCBs.
  • Design for low-voltage power conversion (<60 V), voltage regulators, and both analog and digital circuits.
  • Hands-on use of lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) for prototype testing and validation.
  • Perform worst-case analysis, reliability analysis, BOM cost analysis, and optimize designs for manufacturability and thermal performance.
  • Draft block diagrams and hardware specifications for new product development.
  • Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC requirements and implement best practices for thermal and mechanical packaging.
  • Support DFM/DFT (Design for Manufacturing and Testing) processes in collaboration with production teams.
  • Conduct low-voltage testing and debugging on prototypes.
  • Familiarity with automotive ECU certification standards and knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) considerations in hardware design.
  • Design communication interfaces including SPI, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and similar protocols.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across the full product development life cycle—from concept to production.
  • Maintain awareness of electronics components market trends and ensure cost-conscious design choices.

Preferred Experience and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in hardware development.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
