Overview:

At Dorle Controls, we’re seeking a High Voltage and Liquid Fuel System Crash Safety Performance Engineer to ensure compliance with FMVSS 305 and 301 standards. In this role, you’ll lead HV wire routing, protection, and fuel system safety strategies, supported by CAE crash simulations and validation testing. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape safe, innovative EV and ICE platforms while working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drive decisions for HV wire routing, protection and cut-off times needed to ensure compliance with FMVSS 305 performance requirements in regulated and non?regulated crash modes.
• Drive decisions for liquid fuel system package, design, and protection needed to ensure compliance with FMVSS 301 performance requirements in regulated and
  non-regulated crash modes
• Analyze CAE crash simulations to identify HV and liquid fuel system issues and propose solutions
• Work with HV battery team to identify and eliminate risks internal to the HV battery as a result of both high and low speed impacts
• Develop comprehensive test matrix to ensure HV and liquid fuel system robustness
• Support testing team to ensure quality data collection
• Create post-crash documentation to record results, observations and any necessary actions
• Communicate all test results to the cross functional team

Mandatory Skills:

Candidates should have experience with HV and liquid fuel system safety performance in front, side, rear, and rollover impacts as well as the various testing that must be conducted to ensure robust systems.
