Job Title: Android Application Test Engineer (Automotive Infotainment)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Android Application Test Engineer to support the development and validation of next-generation automotive infotainment systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating test suites, validating Android-based applications, and performing hands-on testing and debugging on physical automotive hardware. This role requires close collaboration with software developers to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of infotainment applications in a vehicle environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for Android applications.
  • Integrate incoming software changes alongside development teams to ensure continuous quality validation.
  • Validate Android applications within automotive infotainment platforms for functionality, performance, and stability.
  • Execute manual and automated testing across multiple software and hardware configurations.
  • Perform hands-on testing on physical devices, infotainment head units, and vehicle assets.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug system-level software issues within Android-based environments.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, system engineers, and QA teams to identify and resolve defects.
  • Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and test reports.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous testing initiatives.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and drive quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience testing Android applications and Android-based systems.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management processes.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Android OS architecture and application lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work closely with development teams in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Automotive Infotainment domain.
  • Knowledge of Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or embedded Android platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD environments and automated testing pipelines.
  • Familiarity with log analysis tools such as ADB, Logcat, and similar debugging utilities.
  • Understanding of vehicle communication protocols and infotainment system architectures.
  • Experience working with physical test benches, vehicle hardware, or prototype systems.
