Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Android Application Test Engineer to support the development and validation of next-generation automotive infotainment systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating test suites, validating Android-based applications, and performing hands-on testing and debugging on physical automotive hardware. This role requires close collaboration with software developers to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of infotainment applications in a vehicle environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for Android applications.
- Integrate incoming software changes alongside development teams to ensure continuous quality validation.
- Validate Android applications within automotive infotainment platforms for functionality, performance, and stability.
- Execute manual and automated testing across multiple software and hardware configurations.
- Perform hands-on testing on physical devices, infotainment head units, and vehicle assets.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug system-level software issues within Android-based environments.
- Collaborate closely with developers, system engineers, and QA teams to identify and resolve defects.
- Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and test reports.
- Support continuous integration and continuous testing initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis and drive quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience testing Android applications and Android-based systems.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management processes.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of Android OS architecture and application lifecycle.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work closely with development teams in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Automotive Infotainment domain.
- Knowledge of Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or embedded Android platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD environments and automated testing pipelines.
- Familiarity with log analysis tools such as ADB, Logcat, and similar debugging utilities.
- Understanding of vehicle communication protocols and infotainment system architectures.
- Experience working with physical test benches, vehicle hardware, or prototype systems.
