We are hiring a Senior Application Software Engineer – Model-Based Design (MBD) to work on software development for electric vehicle (EV) powertrain systems. This role is crucial for defining and implementing control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring automotive compliance (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR).

EXPERIENCE :

2–5 years

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze software requirements for EV powertrain control systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop control algorithms in Simulink following MAAB modeling guidelines.
  • Set up and streamline model-based development workflows in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Configure Embedded Coder settings for automatic code generation.
  • Support AUTOSAR integration and MCAL-based driver configurations.
  • Perform embedded C debugging and issue analysis.
  • Analyze CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication for diagnostics and testing.
  • Define and execute MIL, SIL, and VIL test strategies.
  • Work with the integration and testing teams for full lifecycle validation.

Skills Required:

  • MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Embedded Coder
  • Control system design, model testing (MIL/SIL), and debugging
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet and UDS protocols
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and MAAB guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering
  • 2–5 years of experience in automotive MBD development
  • Exposure to electric powertrain systems preferred
