Overview:

At Dorle Controls, we’re seeking a Skateboard and Battery Structure – CAD Design Engineer to support OEMs’ EV platform. This role focuses on CAD design of frames, subframes, battery structures, and thermal bridges—ensuring manufacturability, durability, and seamless integration. The ideal candidate has CATIA V5/V6 expertise and strong sheet metal design experience to deliver robust, high-quality solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support facilities activities at Novi, MI and Blythewood, SC depending on development cycle stage

• Perform packaging studies

• Provide media for engineering presentations

• Incorporate CAD into OEM KVS systems

• Modify components per OEM Engineering direction for design, engineering, and safety requirements

• Design sheet metal components and assemblies

• Support manufacturing feasibility, part performance improvements, and interface changes

• Develop new parts/assemblies as required

• Conduct engineering studies

• Release CAD data in KVS system

Mandatory Skills:

• Expertise in CATIA V6 and V5

• Ability to perform packaging studies

• Knowledge of OEM systems

• Proficient in English (read, speak, understand)

• Extensive experience in sheet metal components and assembly’s design
